As a California native and resident of the Sierra Foothills, Beverly Austin has spent a lifetime in the arts with an appreciation for all that California has to offer to an artist. Although relatively new to painting, she is an accomplished designer and worked professionally in interior and web design for a number of individual, corporate and non-profit clients.  Mostly self-taught, she works primarily from drawings, sketches, plein air, photographs and prefers oils and acrylics as her principal mediums. Typically, she paints still-lifes, portraits, animals and landscapes with the same attention to detail in each medium. Her paintings often reflect an unusual fusion of both the traditional and contemporary style.
